History

Jet Transportation & Logistics is the umbrella company for three separate operating companies that share both resources and management. James A. Day is the CEO of JT&L with offices in Jamesburg, NJ.

Jet Messenger, founded in 1958 by Allan J. Day, will celebrate its 50th anniversary in October of 2008 – making it one of the oldest messenger/courier firms in the entire United States. JMS services New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Delaware. Its corporate headquarters are in Jamesburg, NJ with Delivery Centers in Jamesburg and Parsippany, NJ and Middletown, NY. Lawrence Day currently serves as the firms CEO.

Dedicated Delivery Systems was incorporated in 1999 and services Maryland, Delaware, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia. Julius “Jay” Scarola is DDS’ CEO. DDS has a Delivery Center in Alexandria, VA and their new corporate headquarters is adjacent to the Baltimore-Washington International Airport.

In 2003 American Eagle Dispatch was incorporated in Ashland, VA to service the mid and southern regions of Virginia as well as operations in North Carolina. Carol Ann Day is the President of AED.

As a whole these three companies seamlessly function as one operating entity under the umbrella of JT&L, giving a full service footprint from Connecticut to North Carolina. Combined, these companies represent one of the largest and oldest transportation and logistics firms in the messenger/courier industry. Both Jay and Larry have over 40 years of experience in the industry; both are founders and past Presidents of the industry’s national trade association, the Messenger Courier Association of the Americas. Paul Steffes, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for JT&L is a past President of the Express Carriers Association, the largest marketing oriented trade association to our industry.

No other firm can boast of such a team of visionary leaders dedicated to our industry.
